The Probing Solutions Inc. (PSI) wafer prober motion controller is a

high performance microstepping motor driver with integrated Intelligent, Programmable motion control.

This controller was developed as a replacement controller for aging probing equipment developed by The Micromanipulator Co. Inc. (tmmco) but no longer supported for repair or replacement.

The design allows for control of all axis of motion using an operator directed joystick interface connected to a new motion controller and new motors. The controller is connected to the (tmmco) wafer prober through its original cable connection.

This connection is found on (tmmco) models 8860 , 8065 , 4460 , 6640 most motorized models using “RMC” joystick control or “RSC” Pc with PcProbe I / II or NetProbe software and the 3 module “embedded controller”.
